McNulty Foundation

The McNulty Foundation, a nonprofit that supports bold leaders driving positive change, partnered with the Aspen Institute to host the Socrates Seminars in Cartagena, Colombia for the first time—and asked Natsumi Nishizumi Design to create the event materials.

Inspired by the city’s vibrant culture and architecture, I used bright, gradated colors and reimagined past geometric elements into a modern cityscape. Blue and green shapes reflected the Caribbean Sea and aligned with the Aspen Institute’s brand colors.

The result was a clean, vibrant design that captured the spirit of Cartagena while staying true to both brands.
