Natsumi Nishizumi, born and raised in Japan, is a graphic designer and studied art and design at the School of Visual Arts in New York where she was encouraged to explore her artistic sensibilities. After graduating with a BFA degree, she began her career as a full-time graphic designer at Time Inc. Custom Publishing. Since then she has worked with a variety of clients including magazine publishers, non-profit organizations, and retailers as a freelance art director/graphic designer to create high-quality design solutions. Natsumi is also an illustrator. In 2010, she partnered with Tiny Prints to create personalized stationery including greeting cards, holiday cards and party invitations which incorporate her illustrations. Her work consists of organic, delicate and simple line drawings and watercolor illustrations which reflect her deep inspiration from nature. Living in New York City gives her the chance to mix elements of the natural world with ideas from contemporary art, design, fashion, and architecture. awards selected publications press (magazine & online)
